A downloadable game

"Two weeks after the explosion, she's gone. And nothing makes sense anymore."

You wake up to find a world that has changed and the person you love has disappeared. Armed with only fragments of memory and a desperate hope, you search through the remnants of civilization for any trace of her.

But something feels wrong. The deeper you search, the more reality itself seems to unravel. Strange encounters, impossible choices, and a growing sense that nothing is what it seems.

THE OLD WAYS combines classic platforming with a branching narrative told through illustrated comic panels. Your decisions shape not just the story, but your understanding of what's actually happening.

This game explores mature psychological themes. Some content may be emotionally intense. Player discretion is advised.

  • 📖 Story-driven gameplay - Narrative choices affect multiple endings
  • 🎨 Comic book storytelling - Hand-drawn panels reveal the story between levels
  • 🎮 Classic platforming - Exploration, puzzles, and challenging encounters
  • 🌍 27 handcrafted levels - Approximately 4-5 hours of gameplay
  • 🎭 Psychological mystery - Not everything is as it seems
  • 📱 Multi-platform - Available for PC and Android

Inspired by atmospheric classics like Another World, Flashback, Underwurlde, Sir Fred, Panama Joe, and some others, but with a deeply personal story at its core.

I'm not using a game engine like Unity to develop this; instead, I'm creating everything from scratch using the XNA/Monogame framework. Even though it takes a lot more time, I prefer having full control over every aspect of the game, paying attention to every little detail. It's a process I truly enjoy—like a craftsman meticulously crafting something they're passionate about. This game isn't about finishing as quickly as possible, but about building something meaningful and polished.

This game is a passion project made because I love creating games. It's free to play, but if you enjoy it and want to support future development, donations are greatly appreciated. Every contribution helps me continue making games.
